National Plant Collection Foundation

This foundation is an alliance of twenty Dutch botanical gardens. The aim among others is the preservation of the botanical heritage which is distributed over the various gardens. To do this efficiently each garden takes care of a number of plant families. By doing so the complete collection can be conservated, tracing omissions and avoiding doubles.

The other goals of the foundation are:
to contribute to scientific education and research, to support biological diversity, to promote education of nature and environment, to serve as a source of reference for horticulturists and to have an open eye for recreational aspects.
